Uzmaan Nazeem doesn’t believe in aiming low. He dreams of being the CEO of Sri Lankan airlines, and believes the combination of aviation and business degrees will help his career take off.
Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation)/Bachelor of Business Management
Korea Aerospace University, Seoul, South Korea
I intend to become one of the world’s best and most recognised aviation strategists, capable of pulling any airline out of their misery and making them thrive.
Aviation has been my passion since a very young age and RMIT is one of the few universities in Australia that offers a good combination of aviation and business. It has a stellar reputation as well.
Numerous guest lecturers from within the industry enhanced our knowledge and gave us unique insights, while the lecturers are highly experienced and accessible. The overseas study program was great and gave me a chance to study aviation management at the Korea Aerospace University in Seoul.
During my time at RMIT I have earned numerous awards, such as the Aviation Staff Award in both 2015 and 2016, and the Green Aviators Award, for sustainable aviation.
This program is providing the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to start a career in aviation management. I can even see how it relates to the industry through my volunteer position at Melbourne Airport.
