RMIT offers many more practical skills and a focus on preparing students for a career in their chosen field.
I’ve always been interested in some form of engineering. Being a practically minded person, I enjoy working with physical objects. I decided to study a double degree in computer science and computer and network engineering as it is a growing industry that offers a lot of new and exciting opportunities.
RMIT offers practical skills and a focus on preparing students for a career in their chosen field. It’s a university that offers students the opportunity to work with new technologies and learn useful skills in those areas.
I’m getting ready for the world of work through courses such as Engineering Design 1. Our first assignment for the class was creating a job application video which we used to consider our future and what kind of skills we would have coming out of our degree. I am also looking forward to getting experience in industry through at least 12 weeks of industry experience, which is a requirement of my program.
In the future, I hope to work on an incredible new piece of hardware or software which will eventually lead to some form of breakthrough in space exploration or travel. It is a very high aspiration at the moment, but why not dream big?
