STUDENT
Di Dai
With an electrical engineer for a father, Di Dai was inspired to study an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours)
I chose to study at RMIT as it has an excellent reputation in engineering programs. All courses are focused on a hands-on approach together with theoretical knowledge.
I was inspired to study engineering by my father, who is an electrical engineer. When I saw that he could design products and also fix anything, I was surprised. Combining this inspiration from my father together with an interest in power network operation, I decided to study electrical engineering.

I’ve gained a range of skills during my program including team work, communication skills, analytical skills and problem solving.
My degree prepared me for work through its compulsory three month internship. This gave me the opportunity to work on real industry projects as well as helping me apply theory to practice. It also gave me experience in working with professional colleagues.
After graduating, I hope to take half a year off work to travel, before gaining work in the power-related industry.
