PhD (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
Electrical engineering- Improving telecommunications system decision making through the integration of technical risk management models into telecommunications project management decision support systems.
I love what I do because it lets me solve real-life problems that have a huge impact on the future of implementation within the telecommunications sector.
During my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at RMIT, I undertook an international work placement through RMIT's International Industry Experience and Research Program (RIIERP). The placement was in Germany at Alcatel-Lucent, a leading IP networking, ultra-broadband access and cloud technology specialist. During this placement I gained experience in the telecommunications sector, which is why I decided to pursue research in this field.
My research involved improving telecommunications system decision making through the integration of technical risk management models into telecommunications project management decision support systems. Being exposed to telecommunications sector before, I was interested in research related to technical risk management.
The outcomes of my research can be used by telecommunication companies around the work to improve their risk management process.
In the future I want to work as a Technical Risk Management Consultant for telecommunication companies.
