I have become a real networker. I used to be more modest but now I see infinite opportunities of using my network to gain experience.
I studied global management and manufacturing at Aarhus University in Denmark. I really wanted to go overseas and test myself for a future international career.
The Master of Engineering (Management) seemed to be a good extension of my undergrad. It is very broad and opens up a lot of opportunities but at the same time allows me to dig deeper into a specific area for my master thesis.
The highlight of my studies has been the travel experience, my personal development, and my big, new social and professional network. Switching to a completely new life far from my comfort zone is something that has developed me as a person.
I’ve been part of lots of different activities such as volunteering at the RMIT University Student Union. I also volunteer in RMIT’s Engineers without Borders Chapter. This is a great opportunity to meet other students with the same interests and passions.
I’m looking forward to spending a semester on exchange in Vietnam. I will also spend my last semester in a manufacturing company where I am going to write my master thesis while solving an actual problem for the company. After graduation I will see what job opportunities there are in Europe, closer to my home and my family and friends in Denmark.
Hopefully my career as an engineer will involve a lot of travelling and the opportunity to see more places of the world and experience new cultures. I dream of working in a growing company who are progressing positively but also open to changes and improvements.
