Master of Sustainable Practice
Technical Director, Environmental Evolution
The highlight of my studies has been the face to face learning with renowned leaders within the environmental field. The interaction between the experts and other very passionate students has been very enriching.
I’m passionate about making a positive impact on the environment, both in my personal life and my professional career.
After completing Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA, I found myself unhappy working in a dissatisfying job and decided to make the transition to the environmental sector.
I realised that I had skills and experience in the engineering field, and that if I wanted to follow my heart into the environmental industry, I had to learn from industry leaders within the sustainability field.
I chose RMIT because of the access to industry experts, the face-to-face learning approach, the University’s outstanding reputation and the professional services.
As well as gaining technical skills gained, I’ve also been coached on certain business skills. This has given me the skills to be an industry leader in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability.
My greatest achievement to date is the successful creation and operation of my environmental engineering business, Environmental Evolution. Within this business I have achieved several significant environmental gains – 8.5 million Joules of electricity, 3 million black balloons of CO2, and 9.5 Million litres of water – with many more savings in the pipeline.
My plan for the next three years is to grow my consulting business. My dream job is to be a leading environmental adviser to large businesses and local councils.
