I'd been working in the military for the past five years and needed a change. After deciding to return to study I found there was plenty of assistance to help me with the transition and improving my study patterns.
I chose RMIT because it has close ties with industry leaders. I knew this would improve the learning aspect of the course and also my job prospects once I'd finished studying.
There's even an RMIT event for international engineering organisations to meet-and-greet with students, which meant I had the opportunity to talk directly to potential employers.
I've always enjoyed knowing how things worked. I loved learning from engineers and scientists while working in my field of study. It is so valuable to be able to implement theory and knowledge into practice.

During this course, I received the Boeing Scholarship for the Advanced Diploma and the Defence Force Traineeship.
I hope to progress into the bachelor program and then one day, work in power generation, in either hydro-electric or nuclear power.
