Advanced Diploma of Surveying
Surveying is a great career for anyone who wants to work both indoors and outdoors, and establish skill that can be applied anywhere in the world.
For me, the practical, hands-on approach of the RMIT Surveying program has been a perfect fit.
One of the highlights has been a course called Design Road and Rail. I was able to use mathematical formulae and processes out in the field to design a precisely calculated curve that gracefully contoured to the natural landscape. It’s sacred geometry at its best.
I now work full time as a party leader for a survey firm where I’ve quickly become an integral and valued part of a growing team thanks to my ability to contribute based on what I’ve learned in my studies.
I strongly recommend to anyone considering surveying career to get involved in the industry as soon as you can. Not only will it help you exercise the knowledge and understanding you get from your studies, but seeing how important the work we do is will confirm you’ve made the right career choice.
