Luke chose to study psychology at RMIT because of its reputation in the field.
Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology)
The Psychology program teaches you about all the different fields of psychology which prepares you for the real world applications.
“I decided to study psychology at RMIT as it has a good reputation in the field and I wanted to be in an occupation where I could help people.
A highlight of my studies has been learning about all the different fields of psychology and meeting like-minded students.
My favourite course so far is ’Principles of Psychology’ as it has a lot of real life applications as well as an introduction to assessing and addressing the symptoms of some mental disorders.
The Psychology program teaches you about all the different fields of psychology which prepares you for the real world applications or further study in a certain field.
Aside from studying I volunteer with a program that empowers youth living with a disability or illness through music, this adds extra insight and a practical application to my studies.
Once I complete this program I would like to undertake a semester abroad and attempt further study to become a practicing psychologist. I hope this will lead to being a psychologist who will work with children or youth living with a chronic illness or disability.“
