A highlight of my studies was being selected for the Fastrack Innovation Program, which is a cutting-edge program that brings together top talent from across RMIT with innovative industry partners to collaborate on solutions to real-world challenges.
This course was transformational in discovering what I truly wanted to do with my career.
RMIT has some great study support services, which have been a massive help with my studies. I sought help from the drop-in space for English and Maths. I also attended the Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) in my first year at University, which helped both my studies and transition into University life.
After completing the Fastrack Innovation Program I realised I enjoyed learning about business and entrepreneurship, so I decided to complete an Entrepreneurship minor as part of my degree.
All of the Entrepreneurship courses that I have studied have included integrated learning or industry based learning. All projects required working with or alongside an external organisation.
My projects have led me to work with:
- Women’s Legal Service Victoria
- Enviropoles
- Centre of Innovation Justice
- Victorian Legal Aid
- Telstra
As part of the RMIT Fastrack Innovation Program I was the recipient of the ‘Butterfly Award’, for the most outstanding growth and transformation over the course of the program. We were a small cohort and I was amongst some of the very best students studying at RMIT, so it was a real honour to receive this award.
I am currently working as the Creative Lead for a start-up called Invent The World, where our focus is to teach and excite children about computer programming and technology.
My greatest achievement has been teaching children about technology and encouraging them to see their potential. There is no better feeling then seeing a child succeed, grow and be excited about technology.
