If there is nothing missing in your supporting documents, and you meet our requirements, we will accept you onto the Study Abroad Program. You will then receive an offer letter via iApply and email.
Offer and Acceptance
In order to accept your offer, you will be required to return your acceptance form and pay the Study Abroad fee. If you wish RMIT to organise your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), you must also include the payment details for your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You must purchase this insurance in order to obtain your student visa.
Note: You do not need OSHC if you are a Norwegian Insurance Scheme cover holder or a Swedish national with cover through Swedish National Board of student Aid (CSN).
Once these fees have been processed, RMIT will send you an electronic confirmation of enrolment and from here on you are eligible to apply for a student visa.
When applying, you would have listed courses of your choice per semester of study. After academic assessment you will receive written confirmation of pre-approved and/or recommended courses for enrolment via email. Please note that all courses are subject to eligibility and availability.
The RMIT Study Abroad and Exchange Orientation Program is a three day event designed at supporting all of our short term students before they embark on their new study experience at RMIT.
During orientation you will timetable your classes, receive information on life at RMIT University and Melbourne and meet all of the other Study Abroad and Exchange students new to RMIT.
Orientation is a compulsory program for all Study Abroad students. The dates for orientation will be provided in your offer letter.
