Abhyuday started studying Engineering in India and in 2017 he successfully applied to RMIT for an international transfer.
RMIT University, Melbourne
I chose to study Engineering because of my passion for cars. Cars fascinated me to such an extent that I had spent all my teenage years studying, researching, and getting to know more and more. There wasn’t any magazine left unread, or any TV documentary about cars I didn't watch. All this research and studying not only intensified my passion for wheels, but also helped me to gain more practical knowledge.
On education journey
I studied Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering in International Center for Applied Sciences, Manipal. I spent two years in that university after which I successfully applied to RMIT for an international transfer. Two main reasons why I chose to be a part of the engineering program at RMIT are the faculty and research centre. I was offered a $5,000 scholarship and I am now studying a Bachelor Honours degree.
The education structure is very well planned at RMIT. The lectures feel like a movie that you enjoy and learn something new as well. The assignments are intuitively designed to make you focus on research and enjoy your time studying. Because of the diversity in your classroom, you will learn a lot about human nature and how to fit in a community.
On RMIT experience
I’d highly recommend RMIT because of its fantastic staff and friendly atmosphere. Location in the heart of the city is second-to-none and campus infrastructure is just spellbinding. And who wouldn’t want to study in the most liveable city in the world?
On studying in Melbourne, Australia
Melbourne has never felt something of less than a home to me. The food and ever-smiling people have made this a home away from home for me. The aisle of cafes on Flinders Lane, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee down the Swanston street, the shopping on Burke Street and the many events taking place at Fed Square are to die for. The best part about Australia is there are so many breathtaking places to visit.
I like being optimistic in life. If you want to achieve your dreams, the first step is to start dreaming! I hope my engineering degree takes me to my dream job and one day I will own an automobile company.
