Jan first visited RMIT’s Melbourne campus during an open day and was so impressed by the photography facilities that he vowed to return.
RMIT University, Melbourne
RMIT does a lot to support international students. One of my fears was organising everything. I received so much help and support from RMIT, there was nothing to worry about.
When Jan began studies in Photography in Germany he made plans to return to Melbourne to study at RMIT for a semester. “Because I had such good experiences, I knew I had to come back some time. I thought about London or the United States, but I decided to go to my favourite uni in Melbourne”.
Jan chose to study at RMIT because he “liked the idea of a more commercially orientated course that has a strong connection to business, where teachers come straight from the market”. "The BA Photography is also very practical. The main focus relies on shooting and working in “real-life” scenarios. It’s just the best way to be prepared for the post study life”.
Together with the well-equipped studios and photography facilities at RMIT, the quality of students’ work left an impression on Jan. “RMIT is definitely a place I would recommend, I really enjoy working in a more commercially minded environment. It’s great learning about business workflow and getting insight to how the industry works out there”.
