The guaranteed pathway to get a place into Regina’s preferred RMIT degree was all the motivation she needed to enrol in Foundation Studies.
RMIT University, Melbourne
The General Program gives students a lot of options, which is ideal if you are still uncertain of what bachelor degree you wish to study. It allows me to choose the subjects that are of the most interest to me.
Regina moved from Singapore to Melbourne after completing high school to pursue her dream of studying Public Relations in Australia. “Melbourne has such a good reputation of being multicultural and also being one of the best cities for international students, which is why I chose it.”
She has been impressed from the beginning, in particular with the orientation camp that allowed her to make friends easily and meet other students from all around the world. “The camp was so much fun because I got to know lots of students from different countries. The activities really helped me make friends as I didn’t know anyone beforehand.”
Foundation Studies has three discipline streams as well as a general program. Regina chose to study the general program so it could give her more options after she finished. “The general program gives the students more options; you are able to select more electives without being tied into the stream subjects. The program is really suitable for those students who aren’t quite sure what they want to study after Foundation.”
