The Architecture Design Studio 2 (ARCH1001) course is undertaken in the context of the Architecture Design Studios course sequence that continues through the BP250 program. It is the first of four vertically integrated courses. The Architecture Design Studios aim to develop, apply and test your architectural design skills. This entails:

• Your developing an understanding of a selected range of technical, theoretical, historical, environmental and professional issues.
• Your ability to integrate this understanding into design proposals.
• Your application of the communication techniques necessary to demonstrate this.

Within a single course framework, each Architecture Design Studio establishes its own thematic and methodological position, situated in relation to relevant historical, theoretical, or technical contexts. Teaching activities are developed accordingly to support each studio’s line of enquiry.
