Course Summary

This course aims to provide you with advanced knowledge and skills on:

how to apply the legal systems that impact workplace health and safety, in particular Australian work health and safety law, worker's compensation law, labour law, equity law (eg equal opportunity and anti-discrimination) and associated regulatory systems;
how to examine key statutes, regulations and common law relevant to OHS management;
how to examine strategies for OHS professionals to manage legal obligations, and to interface on legal issues with all relevant stakeholders
the role of the OHS regulator is discussed.
