Course Summary

In this course you will learn about the world of work in the sustainability sector, and your positioning in this world. This includes an understanding of workplace dynamics and approaches, including communication, rights, equity, inclusivity and care in the context of socio-environmental work. In this course you will also reflect on the implications for alignment of values between workers and employers.
You will explore employment opportunities and experiences in private, corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors. You will reflect on your professional goals and develop strategies to pursue these goals.
You will identify and critically reflect on your own skills, capabilities and preparedness for professional employment.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace contexts and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
