This course teaches the concepts and skills involved in creating and managing a sustainable digital repository, library or archive for an organisation. It addresses the management of digital objects over the long term through active, ongoing oversight of the total environment (content, technologies, and user expectations) during all phases of the objects' life cycle. Underpinning themes are broader policy issues and the implications for practice in information management organisations, and long-term sustainability of the digital repository, library or archive.
