In this course, you will advance your expertise as a clinical educator in mental health nursing by synthesising personal and peer experiences to generate new strategies for effective teaching and learning. You will integrate contemporary learning and teaching models, including adult learning principles, to design and justify recovery-oriented and culturally safe clinical education approaches.

You will critically examine the role and impact of clinical teaching by drawing together consumer, family, and interprofessional perspectives, and use these insights to inform collaborative and innovative practice. Through practical and reflective activities, you will design, select, and apply teaching, supervision, and facilitation strategies that address the needs of diverse learners in complex mental health clinical contexts.

The course will also support you to develop and evaluate comprehensive approaches to assessment and feedback in clinical education, synthesising evidence and contextual factors to enhance learning outcomes across a range of settings.
