Course Summary
This a course a capstone, work integrated learning (WIL) course in which you will apply knowledge and skills acquired in your previous study to a challenge associated with environmental sustainably in various international locations. The course will enable you to consolidate your environmental knowledge and skills by applying them by applying them to real world sustainability problems via a variety of methods. These could include monitoring ecosystem restoration, surveying communities about environmental issues, or planning and implementing a small research project.
The team-based approach used in the course overlays exposure to an international context with project development, research and communication skills in a manner akin to working as a professional environmental scientist.
The course focuses on providing an immersive learning experience, incorporating biophysical and socio-economic aspects of environmental challenges, and promotes intercultural awareness by enabling you to work and collaborate in an international environmental sustainability setting.
