Course Summary

This course is intended to foster advanced knowledge in engineering surveying. It provides exposure to contemporary and emerging techniques and technologies as well as current industry standards. Aspects of specialised engineering surveying (metrology), earthworks calculations, set-out and mining and hydro-graphic surveying are all addressed. You will be introduced to a large range of specialised surveying instruments. You will develop theory and apply methods for a number of surveying operations. During this course you will plan field projects, conduct critical reviews and computations and produce documentation suitable for industry client reports.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level.
