Course Summary

This course focuses on advanced techniques and tools in complex shape design for mechanical engineering applications.
Through the topics addressing the impact of geometric modelling in engineering design and analysis, students will be building up techniques and theories as well as using advanced tools in complex shape design for real-world engineering problems, strengthening the ability to execute comprehensive and professional engineering projects.
The interdisciplinary nature of geometric modelling and engineering design is addressed through the hands-on nature of the course work. The course material is structured to meet the needs of mechanical, aerospace, automotive and manufacturing engineers as well as general users of Computer Aided Design systems.
If you are enrolled in this course as a component of your Bachelor Honours Program, your overall mark will contribute to the calculation of the Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
