This course provides a theoretical and practical introduction to the knowledge, skills and values required to work with people who experience trauma. Critical, trauma informed practice principles are the foundation of the course. Socio-political factors which intersect with the experience of trauma, loss and grief are considered critically. Lived experience is valued and forms a core part of the learning and teaching experience.
