Course Summary

Through this course you will learn how to create, evaluate and validate compelling biotechnology value propositions and design a business model that will allow for entry into the marketplace. This will be founded on an understanding of the fundamentals of design thinking and entrepreneurship, including business strategies and tools needed to enhance performance and competitiveness in the biotechnology industry. You will learn about strategies and tools aligned with the current technology-driven business reality, addressing the need to continuously innovate as demanded by customers. This includes problem exploration and definition, industry analysis and customer research, ideation, prototyping, designing an appropriate business model, testing and iteration, and how to make an effective business pitch.
