Course Summary

This course is the third of six consecutive courses and two advanced culture courses in Spanish offered at RMIT University.
The course will provide you with the opportunity to further develop your language skills and to build on the foundations of?Spanish 1 and 2.
You will explore and broaden your interest and knowledge of Latin American and Spanish cultures and societies through different social topics. Classes are delivered in?Spanish and while speaking and listening will continue to be the primary focus of our activities, there will be an additional focus on reading and writing and development of intercultural awareness. In addition to linguistic skills, the course will also explore and invite you to critically reflect on intersectional diversities (racial, gender, linguistic, and cultural, etc.) that characterise the Spanish-speaking world today.
You will build on your knowledge to a level where learning can continue to develop in Spanish 4.
Multimedia and interactive materials will be used to enrich your knowledge of Spanish speaking cultures and societies and contribute to your knowledge of cross-cultural topics.
