Honours Science 2 extends the advanced disciplinary scholarship developed in Honours Science 1 by engaging you in specialised or emerging areas of research within your scientific field. Through advanced seminars, research-informed inquiry and self-directed study, you will integrate and critically evaluate complex theoretical, methodological or applied developments that complement your Honours research direction.
You will critically examine how evolving evidence, new methodologies and emerging debates refine or challenge established paradigms within your discipline. In consultation with your project supervisor and Discipline Honours Coordinator, you will select discipline-appropriate topics that strengthen your capacity to position your work within broader research conversations and support your ongoing independent research throughout the Honours year.
If you are enrolled in this course as a component of your Bachelor Honours Program, your overall mark will contribute to the calculation of the Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
