This course will introduce you to the basic principles of survey measurement, relevant to land surveying and civil engineering, and to instruments which are used to measure linear dimensions and angles in the field. You will take part in practical activities to provide experience with both relevant instrumentation and field survey measurement techniques reinforcing the theory. You will study the sources and effect of errors in survey measurement, and conduct computations associated with survey measurement.
