Course Summary

This course explores the concepts, opportunities, related issues and risks in the governance of digital and information technologies and the accompanying change management activities in business and public sector organizations. It comprises the critical evaluation and assessment of current IT governance practice as well as the design, development and implementation of IT governance plans and systems based on existing standards, frameworks and models. This allows you to develop an understanding of how to get more value from IT investments via better IT governance in the strategic context of such organizations. As the implementation of IT governance policies, processes and organisational structures requires organisations to embrace and manage change to ensure that technology is accepted and used appropriately, change management models, processes and challenges will also be examined with a focus on supporting involved and impacted stakeholders through complex IT-related change in the workplace and beyond.
