Course Summary

This course is designed to assist you to draw on the skills and knowledge acquired in Business Research Design (BUSM4448) to undertake a research project in procurement or logistics and supply chain management. It provides you the opportunity to build upon the substantive theories learnt in the core procurement and supply chain management courses to analyse real business problems or investigate operational issues faced by organisations. The course comprises a mix of research method workshops and one-on-one consultative sessions.
The research method workshops will cover topics ranging from scoping a research idea, writing a literature review, developing the research methodology, documenting the findings, framing the result discussion and reaching conclusion. The one-on-one consultative sessions will centre on issues relating to the conduct of your research, giving you the opportunity to raise questions, clarify doubts and receive feedback on your writing.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
