Course Summary
The course provides you with the skills and knowledge you will need for working in legal practice. You will develop workplace skills to initiate a client file, take instructions, communicate and negotiate with third parties, manage client files, engage in research, draft letters and legal documents, engage in legal analysis and problem solving and apply the professional code of conduct in the legal industry.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
This course also provides you with a capstone experience, which will give you the opportunity to integrate, critically reflect on and consolidate what you have learnt in your program.
