This course provides you with the opportunity to develop a more substantial writing project. Building on skills learned in first year, you develop your concept in consultation with your teacher and outline the project, building in realistic timelines and objectives. Your work may take the form of a novel, non-fiction project, collection of short stories or another work of fiction or creative non-fiction.
You are introduced to selected readings to inform your project and you continue to learn about aspects of narrative technique, applying these techniques to your own writing. You develop your project with the support of staff and peers in a structured classroom environment as well as in smaller workshopping groups.
