Course Summary

In this course you will have the opportunity to extend your professional practice knowledge and skills by working directly with industry. You will select one study option from a range of choices which may include a global intensive*, a practice-based studio, an internship+ or an industry project. Your choice must be negotiated and agreed to by your course or offering coordinator.
This course is a designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for master's degree students as part of a core or elective course option in their program. This course includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
* A global intensive is offered infrequently, pending interest, global pandemic and economic environment, and other unforeseen relevant impacts.
+ An agreement including schedule and relevant insurance documentation must be completed before commencing each placement/internship (local and international). International placements/internships must be registered and processed through the School of Media and Communication WIL team and/or RMIT Global Mobility, as advised by your course or offering coordinator. In the case where a placement ends early, please refer to Changes or cancellation of WIL activities in the WIL Guideline.
