Course Summary
This capstone course consolidates and builds on the key skills and knowledge you have developed throughout the Construction Management program. You will engage in industry based problems and explore construction planning and design principles and practices within the global context. The objectives of this course are to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to produce detailed and accurate industry documentation, including tender submissions for large urban projects. In doing so, you will systematically analyse the construction industry across the following areas:
- Technology
- Management/Leadership
- Negotiation/Administration/ IR
- Investment/Economics/Development
- Quantitative Surveying
- Sustainability
- Law/Regulation
- Risk
- OH&S.
This course includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience
If you are enrolled in this course as a component of your Bachelor Honours Program, your overall mark will contribute to the calculation of the weighted average mark (WAM).
