Course Summary

This course will introduce you to the principles and practice of switched mode power supplies. Firstly the fundamental isolated power supply topologies are presented. Then you will learn about the switching and control processes required to use these topologies to produce a switched mode power supply with a regulated output. You will also design the magnetic components and auxiliary circuits required to make a switched mode circuit function.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level.
