Course Summary

This course will advance your knowledge in structural elements, systems and services for the built interior environment. You will learn to analyse, assess and specify the appropriate specifications for a range of interior projects within residential and small scale commercial spaces.
You will prepare detailed technical drawings and digital presentations including layouts and documentation for structural, non-structural and services. Using a problem based approach you will gain familiarity with the critical path of an interior fit-out project.
A detailed work schedule will be developed for projects in consultation with industry specialists and professionals for verification.
All project work will be developed within the framework of Australian Standards, Building regulations and legislative and sustainable practices.
