Course Summary
This course examines the pharmacology of therapeutic agents relevant to diseases/conditions that include the cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, gastrointestinal and endocrine systems. You will consider these systems in both health and disease to underpin an understanding of the pharmacotherapy of common disorders. The course focuses on understanding the rationale for drug therapy as well as describing the range of therapeutic strategies. It explores factors that affect drug disposition and adverse events in the therapeutic areas.
