This course will explore understandings about and expressions of the self through philosophical and literary works. You will have the opportunity to think, read, and discuss how others have sought to understand the self (in general) and themselves in particular. You will also have an opportunity to put their insights into practice with your own form of self-writing (scholarly-personal narrative).
