This course looks at the role of independent games in the Australian and Global Games sector, especially their success in Melbourne, and how RMIT Games has a celebrated and continued role to play in this narrative. You will articulate your own identity and trajectory within this professional industry.
Through playing and analysing game examples and through industry analysis and hearing from guest speakers, you will complete an independent games project solo or in small groups that expresses a unique response to our local context.
This is a designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for BP214 Bachelor of Games. This course includes a work integrated learning (WIL) experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback and mentorship from industry is integral to your experience.
