Writing a Major Project is the capstone course where you will produce a major creative work, building on skills developed throughout the program in an energetic, high-level, close-knit community of practice. The course is designed to extend your writing abilities and self-discipline, resulting in a portfolio or publishable work appropriate to a skilled creative professional. Alongside your creative work, you will hone your research skills, situating your creative process within a cultural and intellectual framework that provides insights into your practice as a creative writer. When you leave the course, you’ll have experience in delivering substantial creative writing projects and awareness of their place in your developing creative practice. 

This course includes Industry Partnered Learning (IPL) activities, where you will have the opportunity to participate in authentic industry and community engaged activities and tasks to support your professional development and career planning such as Career Development Learning (CDL) and Industry Embedded Activities (IEA).
