This course is about the practical application of a range of mediation knowledge skills. You will learn and practice the techniques used in different roles to help resolve disputes including the communication and other skills needed to participate in mediations. The course will focus on maintaining mediator objectivity and neutrality, dealing with difficult parties, delivering mediation in a culturally diverse context, working with an interpreter, formulating a consensus agreement and debriefing the mediation process.
