This introductory course offers you the opportunity to complete an internship negotiated with an organisation you have found to further develop your skills and knowledge in a workplace linked to your chosen discipline. You will experience the workplace organisational culture and the processes they employ to achieve business outcomes.
You will be expected to work a total of 120 hours in the semester. Your weekly hours and schedule will be agreed with your internship organisation.
In preparation for your internship, you will undertake in-course learning in negotiation skills in order to decide on the appropriate workplace activities and you will be required to choose at least one professional skill from the list of professional skills you would like to develop while in placement (in agreement with your internship organisation) as part of the Work Integrated Learning Agreement and prior to commencing the placement, complete the WIL Ready Cred.
