Course Summary

The course is concerned with the application of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) in design and engineering of mechanical systems. You will develop advanced knowledge and skills in CAE modelling and simulation. This includes problem definition, analysis, modelling, simulation, and interpretation of modelling and simulation results. You will then apply these skills in the completion of specific learning activities such as a design project, report, testing and prototyping and an oral presentation. Upon completion of this course you will be able to utilise these CAE techniques in design and engineering of mechanical systems. This course further develops the generic skills of teamwork, planning, leadership, and communication
