Course Summary
In this course you will initiate, research and develop a range of textile materials, techniques and expressions. You will work through a series of learning experiences that assist in advancing and refining your practice.
The projects enable you to scaffold the development and highlight the design strategies that resonate most with your practice. You will determine your palette of materials, techniques, and expressions that relate to your industry aspirations or interests for future study. You will critically reflect, research and experiment with your samples and propositions to determine the pitch and proposal for your major project in semester 2.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level. See the WAM information web page for more information.
