Course Summary

This course equips you with advanced knowledge and practical skills in anatomical pathology, encompassing both histopathology and cytopathology. Through an integrated approach of lectures, hands-on laboratory sessions, lectorials and tutorials, you will develop expertise in specimen processing, staining techniques, and microscopic evaluation, and you will screen gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytology cases. You will also critically appraise and justify diagnostic workflows, including the selection and interpretation of immunohistochemistry and molecular assays, applying NPAAC and ISO 15189-aligned safety and quality practices. These skills are critical for professional practice in laboratory medicine and will prepare you for roles in diagnostic pathology, research, and related healthcare fields.
