Course Summary

This course will enable you to gain a better understanding of the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of mental health.
Key principles from cognitive, developmental, and social psychology will be outlined to better equip you with the challenges of understanding and responding appropriately to common psychological, social, and cultural determinants of mental health and well-being. Depression, anxiety, stress, and coping will be explored.
You will also be introduced to strategies to better communicate with individuals who have a mental health concern by enhancing your mental health first aid awareness.
