In this course you will develop the production skills to enable you to produce multi-media journalism and reflect on the impact emerging technologies have on journalistic practice. You will develop skills using modern communication equipment and emerging technologies required by journalists when preparing written, visual, audio or multi-media material across multiple platforms.

Using industry-standard equipment, you will be introduced to the basics of audio/visual and text-based journalism techniques used to produce and present news for live broadcast and text-based platforms. You will also learn to use communication technologies, including smartphones, the internet and social media platforms to enhance your journalistic practice.
