This course requires you to demonstrate professional standard journalism skills. The capstone experience is designed to enable you to synthesise and integrate knowledge, engage industry, connect theory and practice and demonstrate holistic achievement of program learning outcomes. In this course, you will undertake journalism activities in teams as well as with industry partners, in order to create a major body of journalism work to a publishable standard. 

In doing so you will be required to reflect upon the entire spectrum of journalism practice including the social, technical, ethical, legal and practical challenges of the field, along with managing workflows for prescribed deadlines to meet the expectation of industry partners who support this course. 

This is a designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for BP220 Bachelor of Journalism. This course includes the opportunity for work integrated learning in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.
