Project professionals are required to possess a solid skillset and an agile mindset to be successful in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) world. The Agile Project Management course will help you develop your specialised, practical skills in Agile and Lean (normally referred to as Agile). You will explore core Agile concepts, principles, practices, frameworks and methods, such as Scrum, Kanban, and Spotify, and examine how these approaches can be applied across a wide range of industries, from technology and healthcare to banking, entertainment, and beyond. Agile is different from, yet complementary to, the traditional (waterfall) project management. Mastering and applying skillfully both approaches will help you become a highly effective project professional.
The Agile Project Management course will also develop in you an agile mindset ('agile', not 'Agile') - one that embraces opportunities to learn, welcomes change, and is fiercely committed to doing better. A project professional with an agile mindset will face challenges with excitement, confidence and humility.
At the City Campus, the course will use the case method, a Socratic method developed by Harvard University, as the principal pedagogy. The method requires you to prepare a case prior to class and actively participate in the discussion of the case in class. Through this method, you will collectively create a community of learners who are supportive, kind, and curious.
