Course Summary

In this course you will work in industry on a placement/ internship to advance your industry practice and create and pitch a design project that engages with this industry context. The placement will be conducted face-to-face at a local, interstate or international workplace. You will demonstrate advanced fashion design practice knowledge through synthesising your industry experience and designing in response to this. You will relate the design strategies, techniques, materials and expressions you use to this industry experience.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level. See the WAM information web page for more information.
