Course Summary

In this course you will plan, undertake, and communicate a small self-directed research project of your choice connected to your emerging design practice.
This course is taught alongside your studio course and will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of your emerging design practice and how it is positioned within social and cultural contexts. You will develop and apply research skills in 'data' gathering, reflective practice, analysis, and communication of research findings appropriate to fashion and textiles design. You will also be introduced to a range of creative practice research communication approaches.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level. See the WAM information web page for more information.
